Music video for “Elokuvia” (eng. Movies) was our first collaboration with synth pop band Modem. Modem is formed by Tytti Roto, Ville Valavuo and a drum machine callled Davide.

We filmed 24 hours straight in Bio Pallas, an old movie theatre in Keuruu, a small town in Southern Finland. Parts with the band playing are filmed in Subcultural Centre Loukko, which had just closed its doors, but the owners let us film there in its last excisting days. Super greatful for both Bio Pallas and Loukko.

Elokuvia is a story about a woman in a man’s world and a projectionist who gets canceled – as in haunted and trapped forever by the media he used to control. Ida-Sofia Tuomisto and Kalevi Suopursu deliver the roles like no other.

Elokuvia won the main prize at music video festival Filmifonia in 2023, being the jury’s choice for the best music video. Elokuvia was also chosen in Oulu Music Video Festival OMVF’s official selction in 2022.
